Sims fan since TS1 and Sim City :)

FYI I am terrible at replying to messages, sorry.

hiya i love your designs , do you have any downloads :)

amandasimdesigns:

I’m afraid not, but have been planning to make a house download since 2011…..

I will reblog myself here on Sim Designs too, as I often get asked if I have any of my own buildings or CC up for download. If I had the spare time (I don’t as a single mother) I would have had something to upload 2 years ago. Sorry. One day, and or year….

Hi! : ) I've recently gotten some bad cc to show up in my game. It doesn't show up on the launcher, nor does Delphy's dashboard find it.... it's a child hair that goes on to adults/young adults, ect. Appearing down in their stomach & causing the sim to look bald while the hair is down in the stomach area... I wondered if you would know what do as you seem rather experienced with sims. <3

Oh my goodness, sounds like one of my bad hair days! I’ve never had this problem personally with a hair, but I’ve used these guides to get rid of bad or unwanted CC

A bit of reading, but may be a solution in there for you…

- Crinricts Bad CC / Unwanted CC
- The Sims 3: Bad CC – How to Find it and How to Get Rid of It

I will publish this if you don’t mind in case someone else has a different method

Hi! I really like "welcome to Moonlight Falls" psd action. But I can't download. :( Can you send me?

I’m afraid it is not mine and I do not have it downloaded myself personally. Please send a message instead to Nilou and hopefully they will be able to sort you out. I will delete this inactive link to the PSD, so thanks for pointing this out to me. Amanda

Is it better to use cc or store content?

I am not sure.. I think it depends on which way you mean…. in terms of quality… size…. running the game smoothly… I seriously have no idea. Im a bit useless… (Personally I have both so dont really know of how to compare them versus each other)

Any advice people?!

Replies :)

TOOSIMSFORYOU REBLOGGED THIS FROM SIMDESIGNS AND ADDED:

I’D MUCH RATHER PREFER CC AS IT’S FREE AND TENDS TO BE BETTER. THINGS LIKE FURNITURE ARE GOOD IN THE STORE, BUT THE…

WITH CC IT’S CHEAPER AND THERE’S MORE VARIETY. WITH STORE CONTENT IT’S POTENTIALLY SAFER(?) BUT CAN BE EXPENSIVE. THAT’S HOW I THINK OF IT.

in reference to having garages on homes with foundations, have you ever notice that the wallpaper gets all messed up around the garage doors due to the constrainfloorelevation cheat? if that makes any sense ha? Ive noticed on your homes it doesn't do that for you havent had this problem1 what is your secret hehe?:0

Hello. I think I know what you mean but I cant think what I do to fix it… I do a lot of trial and error usually…. My brain is a little bit all over the place right now so can’t think straight and as my daughter is awake I don’t like to open my game…. Perhaps one of my lovely followers or someone else reading this can help? (Ps. Not all the posts on Sim Designs are mine! I wish!)

Replies:

@sigmundsims: There is no way to avoid that distortion. It comes from using the constrainfloorelevation cheat.

@murrealismSolid or vertical patterned wall covering.

@simsplification said: using a wallpaper without any kind of pattern can hide it a bit

With regards to Delphy’s Dashboard…

hpneedsmorecoffee replied to simdesigns:If one points either tool (DDO/Dashboard) at their actual game files (the stuff in Program Files) and then “fixes” the errors then it’s going to corrupt the install. Don’t ever do that, and it shouldn’t be an issue.

Thank you hpneedsmorecoffee :)

That actually happened to be after I first used Delphy's Dashboard. I had to re-install all my sims games. It was very tedious and I was reluctant to get the tool again, but I did and nothing happened the second go around. I still am not sure what the heck happened.

Really? Very bizarre. Hopefully someone knows a fix for it without having to re-install as we all know the pain with that :(

I tried using the sims3dashboard and now my game won't start anymore. :c all I get is an error that says: 0X02957b48

I’m sorry to hear that but I have not had this error or problem before, I’m pretty sure it can’t be delphy’s dashboard that caused this problem, although who knows?! I cannot help you further, but I did a quick google search of ‘0X02957b48 ts3 error’ and maybe you could do the same to find a fix :)

I downloaded a few of the things here o: but my game slowed up and often stopped responding... has this happened to you, or? O:

Personally my game is quite fast and rarely crashes, I think because of the type of computer I have and also how I organised and manage my CC. I do try to only download what I see as good quality CC and not have 63 towels and 15 toasters clutter. Also whilst decorating a lot and finding CC that I wish to use, I always have a note pad handy to write down lists of CC in my game that I want to delete. Before I play my game again I find and remove this CC. Sometimes it can take a while to find the CC I want to delete, so I have an ongoing process of sorting and cleaning my CC. I would recommend that you do this too.

Or alternatively try playing with half your CC installed, so a limited amount and not your full array of CC) so when you get bored of it, you clean it all out and install the other half. Sometimes you may really want a certain piece of CC which you don’t have installed, so you make do with something else that you have. Just like in real life where you may not find or be able to afford a certain piece of furniture or a mirror so you find something else or buy something cheaper.

I’m not an expert tho, but I have learnt that playing TS3 requires a lot of organizing and using software that helps your game and also cleans up your computer.

Please read the following guides:

- Delete your Cache files

i hope you don't mind me asking, but do you know where i can find the sofa thats from this post you reblogged? /post/77727044122/upstairs-hallway-with-bedrooms-behind-these

I don’t mind you asking at all, I love to help a fellow simmer out with a find, but personally I don’t know off the top of my head but it does look familiar.

Sorry I don’t have the time to look for it right now, but I’m sure if you ask Plumbob Dollhouse (who designed the room) they would be happy to help you out :)

Edit: Found. (Very quickly!) Thank you so much iliketodissectsims :)

I hope you don’t mind me publishing this. I don’t know the answer to your question I am afraid, but I am hoping that someone else reading this can help you :)

You can use Sims3Pack Multi Installer. It will turn all the files in a sims3pack to separate package files. They will have really strange names though, so you will need a program to open the package files with, like s3pe, so you can see what’s in it.

didimentionsims replied to your photo post
It is possible to extract a sim3pack (with CC attached) into packages using Package Extractor: the biggest file should be the lot, the others are CC. You can use s3pe to check which package is what, and choose what to keep :) (if you don’t know how to check thumbnails in…
